AI decision rights specify who has authority at each material point in the lifecycle: proposing a use case, accepting risk, approving deployment, changing scope, handling exceptions, pausing operation, and retiring the system.
Clear rights prevent committees from becoming shared ambiguity. Business, technology, legal, risk, security, data, and oversight roles may each hold distinct responsibilities, but one accountable owner must remain visible for the outcome.
