Missio definition

Residual AI risk is the exposure that remains after the organization applies its chosen controls and treatments. It should be assessed in context, assigned to an accountable risk owner, and compared with approved risk appetite.

Acceptance is a decision, not a missing task. Material residual risk should carry an explicit rationale, approval, monitoring plan, review trigger, and expiry or reassessment date where appropriate.

Scope note

This definition supports executive and operating decisions. Applicable law,

contracts, sector rules, and system context may require a narrower definition.
