Missio definition

An AI evidence ledger is a traceable record of what the organization claims about a system and the current evidence supporting each claim. It links decisions to owners, approvals, risk assessments, tests, controls, monitoring results, exceptions, incidents, and corrective actions.

The ledger is a Missio operating concept, not an official NIST or ISO artifact. Its purpose is practical: a board, executive, customer, auditor, or incident team should be able to locate the decision record without launching a reconstruction project.

Scope note

This definition supports executive and operating decisions. Applicable law,

contracts, sector rules, and system context may require a narrower definition.
