Missio definition

Agentic AI refers to systems configured to pursue goals through multiple steps, often using tools, memory, external data, delegation, or actions in digital environments. The term describes an operating pattern rather than one universally fixed technical category.

Governance should focus on what the agent can access, decide, change, or trigger; how identity and permissions are bounded; where human approval occurs; what is logged; how failures are detected; and how the organization can suspend the agent. Greater autonomy or consequence requires stronger evidence and tighter control.

Scope note

This definition supports executive and operating decisions. Applicable law,

contracts, sector rules, and system context may require a narrower definition.
